 The Tervela Client API™ is the interface to the Tervela Message Network and it combines an application programming interface (API) communications engine and application stubs. It has been engineered to satisfy the needs of the most performance-intensive applications and to work with the Tervela TMX Message Switch™ to optimize message throughput and minimize message latency.
The Tervela Client API architecturally separates the control flows from the publish/subscribe data flows, ensuring optimal messaging performance with extremely low-latency. The administrative path, known as the control plane, maintains the client state from authentication, Message Network connection, active message processing, etc. The data plane handles high-performance message ingress and egress along with full topic flow by source monitoring. The communication between the API and clients is optimized to reduce network bandwidth utilization. The API handles all networking and high-availability operations transparent to the user and application. Unlike a tightly linked, risk-prone peer-to-peer messaging architecture, the Tervela Message Network decouples publishers from subscribers, freeing up their processing capabilities and eliminating any dissemination or consumption failures. Tervela has separated the control path and the data path of message flows throughout the enterprise, and the API allows publishers and subscribers to access the Tervela Message Network via diverse physical interfaces, ensuring resiliency of topic flows.
