Centralized Control of the Data Fabric

The Tervela TPM-500 Provisioning & Management System is the administrative platform for Tervela's Data Fabric. It provides a central, browser-based control point for administrators to visualize the fabric and make informed decisions about the devices, services, and applications that comprise it.

Features

The TPM-500 non-intrusively captures and collects aggregated stastical data on overall network health and operations. It then provides administrators with control flows for managing access privileges, deploying services throughout the fabric, and monitoring traffic and data-flow in real-time.

Access Control

Adminitrators can establish and enforce access fine-grained privileges based on various attributes, including user entitlements, subscriptions, and topics. This provides multiples layers of security across both the user community and the data itself. 

System and Service Provisioning

The TPM-500 provides a single point of control for configuring network components, managing topics, and establishing access privileges. This makes it very easy to set up new data sources and applications on the fabric, as all your management needs are accessible through one interface.

End-to-End Visual Monitoring

All devices, applications, and connected clients are displayed in real-time or through historical playback, without impacting performance. This forms a powerful visualization of the Data Fabric that includes information such as:

• Utilization information
• Message rates
• Per-feed statistics
• Administrative activity (login attempts, subscription requests, retransmission requests, responses, and more) 

System Health Tracking

The TPM-500 collects per-application information that enables administrators to quickly review and drill into historical application or network event data for root cause analysis purposes, without impacting system performance. Some of the data collected include:

• CPU utilization
• Memory utilization
• Subscribed topics
• Message throughput 

Operational Integrity

To ensure the integrity of the overall system configuration and the data within it, the TPM-500 includes extensive schema management and field mapping capabilities.  

SNMP Alerting

The TPM-500 provides continuous, real-time alerting that automatically sends email to administrators when threshholds on monitored statistics are met or exceeded. Alerts can be viewed directly through the TPM-500 or through any SNMP monitoring system.

Comprehensive Reporting

You can build custom reports that incorporate information from the TPM-500 through its exposed data interfaces. Available data includes:

• Subscriber topics
• Network connection status
• Device Status
• Sent and received messages per time interval
• Slow consumers
